[Section 551.071, Texas Government Code - Consultation with Attorney:] For a private consultation with the Board's attorney with respect to pending or contemplated litigation or settlement offers, and/or on matters where the attorney's duty to the Board, under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the open government provisions of Chapter 551 of the Government Code, to wit:

5. 6.A. Approval of minutes for board meetings: Regular Board Meeting on January 21, 2014 and Special Board Meeting on February 3, 2014.   

6.B. Approval of Budget Amendments for the period ending February 10, 2014.

6.F. Approval of present TASB Localized Policy Manual Update 97 for First Reading.

6.G. Approval to present TASB Localized Policy Manual Update 98 for First Reading.

7. Individual Items for Consideration and Approval:

7.A. Approval to proclaim Global Youth Service Day on April 12, 2014 in the Edgewood I.S.D.

7.B. Approval of Interlocal Agreement for participation in the Region 16 ESC Statewide Cooperative Purchasing Program.

7.C. Proposed authorization for Superintendent to look into the possibility of a District purchase of real property, with authorization to the Superintendent to obtain an acceptable environmental assessment and potential recordable survey indicating no easements or restrictions that would adversely affect the use of the property, and subject to final Board approval for any proposed purchase.

7.D. Approval to purchase 830 iPads for 10th grade students at John F. Kennedy and Memorial High Schools from Apple Inc., for an estimated amount of $480,570.00, to be funded by Title I, Part A of the Federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act , as amended and High School Allotment funds.
