1. Call Meeting to Order:

1.A. Roll Call

2. Report by the Superintendent on the purpose of, the cost for and invitees to the Leadership Team retreat.

3. Approval for the purchase of the recommended security system from JMP Communications (Buy Board Vendor) in the approximate amount of $277,586.00, to be paid for using designated fund balance.

4. Motion to go into Closed Session: The following agenda items are expected to be brought into Closed Session. If the Board votes to go into closed session, then such closed session shall be held pursuant to Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, the expected specific sections of which are listed herein below.  However, if any of the following items listed for closed session are not brought into closed session, the agenda items shall nonetheless be considered "Discussion/Action" items on the agenda.

4.A. [Section 551.071, Texas Government Code - Consultation with Attorney] For a private consultation with the Board's Attorney with respect to pending or contemplated litigation or settlement offers, and/or on matters where the attorney's duty to the board, under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas, clearly conflicts with the open government provisions of Chapter 551 of the Government Code, to wit:

4.A.1. Legal issues associated with personnel items brought into closed session.

4.B. [Section 551.074, Texas Government Code - Personnel Matters;] to deliberate the, appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee, to wit:

4.B.1. Superintendent's contract and employment for remainder of term.

4.B.2. Hearing on the proposed nonrenewal of the employment contract for Alonzo Ellison.

5. Discussion/Action on matters taken up in Closed Session and/or matters listed in Section IV, whether or not items listed therein were taken into Closed Session.
