3.B. Approval of recommendations for new hires, resignations, retirements, transfers and promotions of professional contract personnel where Board action is required. [Note: the Board does not approve transfers, resignations previously approved by the Superintendent, retirements and reassignments, notwithstanding Board action to the contrary on this item.]

3.C. Approval to purchase band instruments for Kennedy and Memorial High School band students for a total not to exceed $52,000.00, from Percussion Source and Woodwind & Brasswind with funds from the District fund balance.

3.D. Approval to purchase Soar to Success Reading Intervention materials from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for grades three through five for an amount not to exceed $218,585.25, to be purchased with Title I funds.

3.E. Approval of the Proposed Tax Rate for 2012-2013.

3.F. Approval of Budget Amendments as of July 23, 2012.

3.G. Approval of bid for Garbage Disposal and Recycle Service. [Recommendation: Bid for $306,249.04.]

3.H. Approval of bid for Asbestos Re-inspection as required by the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). [Recommendation: Bid for $20,000.00.]

3.I. Approval to replace bleachers at Wrenn Middle School, using Buy Board vendor, not to exceed $29,900.00.

3.J. Approval of bid to repair Memorial High School CATE parking lot. [Recommendation: Bid for $81,277.00.]

3.K. Approval to purchase mulch for all elementary schools playground area in the amount of $52,740.00, subject to purchasing requirements of state law and/or Board policy.

3.L. Approval to repair Memorial High School overhead awning between main building and CATE building by using one of the purchasing methods required under section 44.031 of the Texas Education Code.

3.M. Approval of bid for construction of the Edgewood Baseball Field parking lot and site work.  [Recommendation: Bid for $272,400.00.]

3.N. Approval to set aside the sum of $50,000.00, from fund balance for the purpose of miscellaneous projects in the district. [e.g., Edgewood Gym Floor moisture problem, Kennedy Loading Dock drainage problem, Coronado HVAC repairs, Las Palmas patio brick repair, and other small repairs.]
