G.1. Recommend Approval of Revision to Policy GCF
G.1.a. District Administration recommends approval of a minor revision to Policy GCF, which provides guidance regarding hiring procedures for professional staff. The Board already has approved the current version of Policy GCF to include new requirements about reporting disciplinary issues to the Department of Education's Educator Information System and searching the system prior to hiring new candidates. However, the last page of the new policy included a blank regarding the number of days by which a professional candidate's acceptance of a contract offer must be indicated before the offer is revoked. Flowing Wells historically has provided seven (7) days for candidates to accept contract offers, and the proposed revision to Policy GCF simply includes this same provision of seven (7) days in the area that had been left blank.
