Other than this, the response to public comments will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or scheduling the matter as a future agenda item.

F. New Business

F.1. Discussion of Override-Funded Elementary Science Technology Engineering Art Math (STEAM) Initiative

F.1.a. District administration presents for discussion information related to the development of the new elementary STEAM initiative that is made possible due to the success of the November 2023 override election.

F.2. Recommend Approval of Clinical Practicum Agreement with Northern Arizona University for Flowing Wells High School to Serve as Host Site for Externships and Internships subject to approval by the Superintendent of changes needed after further review

F.2.a. District administration recommends approval of a Clinical Practicum Agreement with Northern Arizona University for Flowing Wells High School to serve as a host site for externships and/or internships. If approved, this would allow Athletic Trainer Specialists who are assigned to Flowing Wells High School by Banner University Medicine to act as preceptors, mentoring NAU students who are completing clinical rotations in athletic training. This agreement would become effective June 1, 2024, and would remain in effect for five years. The agreement is attached for review.

In accordance with A.R.S. §38-431.03.A.1, an Executive Session may be called for discussion or consideration of employment, assignment, appointment, promotion, demotion, dismissal, salaries, disciplining, termination or resignation of a public officer or district employees; specifically regarding discussion of administrator assignment/promotion.
