November 9, 2021 at 6:30 PM - Regular Meeting of the Board of Education

I. Call to Order
The Superintendent has the gavel and opens the meeting since no one has been elected to run the meeting.  The superintendent will turn the meeting over to the new chairperson after teh reorganization of the board is completed.

I.D. Reorganization of the Board
"Nominations are open for the position of ______________"
If only one person is nominated, say "hearing no other nominations, if there is no objection, the nomination for ____ will be closed." Then vote. If more than one persons is nominated, board members will write the blame of their choice for the position on a piece of paper. Votes are then read out loud.

III.A. School Board Seat B Open- Per Board Policy 9223 Board Vacancies: The School Board should open the seat up to applications or nominations, announce the names, interview the candidates at a public meeting, and select a provisional appointee by majority vote at a public meeting.  The person appointed shall hold office until the next regularly scheduled elections for district School Board members and shall be afforded all the powers and duties of a School Board member upon appointment. (Motion tabled to November meeting during the October 12, 2021 meeting)

IV. New Business
 

IV.A. Lease between TCC and TCSD for Rental of HeadStart Rooms.  The lease is for 12 months at $600 per month

IV.B. Middle School Basketball Coach- Offer contract to Una Edwardsen for Middle School Basketball Coach.  Per negotiated agreement pay is $500. 
 

IV.C. Middle School Reading Interventionist- SERRC has found a possible middle school reading interventionist. Approve forthcoming contract for up to $8000 for an interventionist to work with students from 5th grade and up 4-5 hours per week. 

IV.D. Executive Session- Move into executive session to discuss 
a. A matter of finance that the public knowledge of which could be detrimental to the business and reputation of the district.
b. A matter pertaining to students and policy
