Washington District 50 Schools Public View

Notice is hereby given by the Board of Education of District 50 Schools, Tazewell County, Illinois, that a public hearing will take place on October 15, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library at Beverly Manor School, 1014 School Street, Washington, Illinois, 61571.

Section 17-1.5 of the School Code states: "School districts with administrative expenditures per pupil in the 25^th percentile and below for all districts of the same type, as defined by the State Board of Education, may waive the limitation imposed under this section for any year following a public hearing and with the affirmative vote of at least two-thirds of the members of the school board of the district. Any district waiving the limitation shall notify the State Board within 45 days of such action."

The purpose of this hearing is for the Board of Education to receive public comment regarding the Board’s intention to waive the limitation of administrative costs, pursuant to section 17-1.5 of the School Code, for the 2025-2026 school year.
