The Budget and Finance Committee will be meeting prior to the Board meeting to discuss a recommendation regarding the remaining indebtedness in the Building Fund (03) and the viability of using the "bonus" Bankhead Jones payment to establish an escrow account to remove it from our annual responsibility. The debt obligation is approximately $550,000 annually from the building fund with a mill levy of 2.2 mills. The committee will also discuss the preliminary tax notices and public hearing to be held on September 11st and any changes or updates to the current preliminary budget draft submitted on August 10th to be considered for the final budget submission prior to October 10th. The committee will also review the current status of Mineral Tracker and a potential recommendation to the Board regarding our current and ongoing contract for their services. Potential action at the Board meeting is suspected regarding the establishment of the escrow account and potentially the Mineral Tracker contracted service.
