Time is set aside preceding the Consent and New Business action agenda to allow citizens the opportunity to comment or raise issues concerning items that will be considered for action by the Board. Persons desiring to address the Board must complete a Speaker Registration Card and submit it to the president. Speakers will be chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis with the exception of students who will always be allowed to speak first, and parents of current Denton ISD students who will be allowed to speak next. This agenda item allows time for the superintendent to present upcoming events which the superintendent believes may be of interest to the Board and to receive direction from the Board regarding scheduling and agenda preparation.

The Board requests citizens attending public meetings observe appropriate rules of decorum. Therefore, please refrain from private conversations while the Board is in session, and from expressing your agreement or disagreement with a speaker by applause or other forms of demonstration. No signs, placards, or other audio or visual props will be allowed in the Board room.
