8.D.1. Illinois Valley High School's International Club requests permission to travel to Spain and France in mid-June for twelve days. History teacher Kirsten Valenzuela and Mr. Steverson will be chaperoning 15 students. The trip is paid through fundraising and students paying on their own.
8.D.2. Hidden Valley teacher Wayne Brown, along with eight science students, requests approval for out-of-state travel to the University of Southern Florida to do marine mammal and sea turtle research June 16-21. Students will provide all costs.
8.D.3. Manzanita Special Education teacher Jennifer Tudor requests permission to travel to Vancouver, Washington to attend a Social Thinking workshop April 16 & 17. All costs are paid through the teacher's professional development fund.
8.D.4. Lorna Byrne principal Damian Crowson requests permission for out-of-state travel to Six Flag's Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California from May 28-30 for an education event called "Safari Day". This trip is for eighth graders and is completely paid for by fundraisers. There is no cost to the district.
8.D.5. Lorna Byrne principal Damian Crowson requests permission for out-of-state travel to the Trees of Mystery in Klamath and the beach at Crescent City, California on Thursday, May 28. This is a reward activity for sixth grade students and is completely paid for by fundraising, there is no cost to the district.
8.D.6. Illinois Valley High School Principal JoAnn Bethany requests permission to send approximately 4-6 teachers from IVHS and LBMS to Advanced Placement College Board and Pre-AP wrokshops this summer. The workshops are located in various states throughout the summer.
