12. CUSTODIAL SERVICES CONTRACT EXTENSION
Since June 2010, Enviro-Clean Building Services have provided cleaning, custodial, and minor maintenance services for the District. Their level of service has remained satisfactory and their performance during the pandemic has been instrumental in providing clean and sanitary schools.  Administration recommends renewing the contract with Enviro-Clean for a three-year period from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2024, at a 5.98% annual increase in contract costs, including minimal additional health care premium costs. A portion of this increase will be subject to meeting satisfactory performance objectives established by the District.
13. PERSONNEL RECOMMENDATIONS - TEACHER LAYOFFS
The Board of Education has determined that a reduction in teaching personnel for the 2021-2022 school year is necessary based on the projected staffing needs. As such, the layoff of personnel will be processed in accordance with Board policy and will become effective at the conclusion of the current school year, 2020-2021 on June 11, 2021. The employees affected by this resolution will be promptly notified.
