14.a. Audio Equipment and Installation, Northern High School Stadium, $68,488.35
The Project Team recommends to enter into a purchase order with Forte for the procurement of additional equipment for the stadium at Northern High School to improve the sound quality for event attendees.  The purchase and installation totals $68,488.35 and reflects 2026 REMC consortium pricing.

15. BID AWARDS (Over $50,000)

15.a. Snow Removal Services, 2026-27 Contract
The District went through an extensive request for proposal process soliciting bids for snow removal services for the upcoming 2026-27 winter season. After reviewing the results of the bids, considering the ability of the responding bidders to provide the services requested in the manner and timing needed, checking references, conducting in-person interviews, and presenting a revised contract to address specific areas of performance requirements, ACE Outdoor Services is considered to be the most responsive bidder. Administration recommends the approval of a one-year contract with the option to extend the contract by up to three additional years on a year-to-year basis, at the discretion of the District.

17. RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF GUN SAFETY & SAFE FIREARM STORAGE

18. PROCLAMATION:  SAFE SCHOOLS WEEK - OCTOBER 19-23, 2026
Providing a safe and secure school environment for our students is of the utmost importance for all schools. Students learn best and are most likely to achieve their full potential in safe and orderly classrooms. The safest schools are those in which the school climate reflects and promotes values of trust, respect, appreciation for diversity, and open channels of communication between staff and students. The Safe Schools Week (October 19-23) is a week-long campaign to raise awareness on effective ways to prevent or reduce violence in our schools.

19. PROCLAMATION:  PRINCIPALS' MONTH - OCTOBER 2026
The American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA), the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) have proclaimed the month of October 2026 as National Principals Month. This dedicated group of educators richly deserves recognition for their commitment to the education of ALL children. We are proud to recognize our Principals for their devotion to student achievement and dedication to overseeing the countless facets of education for our Walled Lake Schools children.
