10. DISTRICT REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION ADVISORY BOARD
Public Act 226 of 1977 requires that a school district sponsoring a reproductive health education program establish an advisory board consisting of two (2) co-chairs, parents, students, educators, local clergy, and community health professionals. The role of the advisory board co-chairs is to coordinate the activities of the advisory board and help evaluate the teaching/learning process for the improvement of instruction. The advisory board periodically reviews materials and methods of instruction and recommends changes, if appropriate. The process for establishing a reproductive health advisory board has been reviewed and endorsed by Administration, and it is recommended that the Board approve the District Reproductive Health Advisory Board.
