Shorewood High School student clubs, School Board student representatives and Ripples will host a School Board Candidate Forum on Monday, March 14th, in the SHS library from 7-9 pm. 

The Spring 2022 election is Tuesday, April 5, and candidates running for two school board seats will be asked about a range of topics impacting students. SHS club leaders will offer questions and School Board student representatives will moderate the forum. There will be time at the end for additional student questions.

This one-hour session is open to all Village residents, members of the business community and District stakeholders who want to learn more about the budget development process and provide input.  

Members of the Shorewood School Board will attend the March 2 press conference to be held at the Riverside Theater to advocate for support of students across the state. A second press conference will take place in Madison.  

The press conference will address a letter to state elected officials signed by more than 200 businesses and organizations that support the investment of surplus funds in K-12 education.  A full copy of the letter can be viewing in the Extras link.

The Shorewood School Board invites parents and/or alumni of color to a "linkage" on Tuesday, April 13th at 6pm. The purpose of a linkage is to allow members of the School Board to meet with constituents and provide information on the work of the schools. In addition, linkages also allow constituents to provide feedback for the School Board on anything District-related. The School Board started this linkage two years ago to provide a dedicated space for our black and brown families, students and alumni. Shari Tucker, our Director for Equity, will also join us.
