16. RESOLUTION: MHSAA COOPERATIVE TEAM APPLICATION
Walled Lake Central High School Boys Junior Varsity Ice Hockey Team currently participates as a cooperative team with Waterford Kettering and Mott High Schools due to low participation numbers. This year Walled Lake Central and West Bloomfield each had only seven players try out for their teams. Each participating High School is requesting to add West Bloomfield High School to the Ice Hockey Cooperative Team program. The MHSAA will allow the Cooperative Boys JV Ice Hockey Team athletes to participate in the varsity schedule, although they will not be eligible for the state playoffs. Administration recommends the Board approve the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Cooperative Team Application. |
17. RESOLUTION: BOARD REVIEW OF HEAD START PROGRAM
In accordance with the federal Head Start Performance Standards, the Walled Lake Consolidated School District Board of Education is the governing body of the District's Head Start Program. The Policy Committee approved the Policy Code of Operations at their December 2, 2021, meeting. To comply with all federal contract regulations, Walled Lake Schools' Head Start requests the Board review and approve the Policy Committee Code of Operations.
