6. LAKES AREA YOUTH ASSISTANCE ANNUAL REPORT
Lakes Area Youth Assistance (LAYA) is a prevention program within the Oakland County Circuit Court. Youth Assistance has been in Walled Lake since 1960. Their mission statement is to strengthen youth and families and to prevent and reduce incidents of juvenile delinquency, neglect, and abuse through volunteer involvement. Mrs. Stephanie Kaplan, LAYA Chairperson, Ms. Nancy van Leuwen, LAYA Vice-Chairperson, and Mrs. Stacy Pasini, LAYA Caseworker, will present an update on their programs and services.

7. PARENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE ANNUAL UPDATE
Walled Lake Schools' Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) consists of parent representatives who have children receiving special education programs and services. President Cory Hensley will present an update on the PAC activities over the last year and their successful work in building an active and sustainable PAC. |

14. RESOLUTION: BOARD REVIEW OF HEAD START PROGRAM
In accordance with the federal Head Start Performance Standards, the Walled Lake Consolidated School District Board of Education is the governing body of the District's Head Start program. To comply with all federal contract regulations, Walled Lake Schools' Head Start is requesting the Board review the items listed below. All items were approved by the Head Start Policy Committee. 15. LAKES AREA YOUTH ASSISTANCE VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS

16. BOARD POLICY REVIEW
The Board Policy Committee and Administration have reviewed the proposed Board Policies updates, which are being provided for the Board's review with anticipation of adoption at the regular Board meeting on April 4, 2024. The updated policies are in alignment with the current law.
