10. Amendment: WALL OF FAME NOMINEE – NANCY van LEUWEN 
The Wall of Fame Committee respectfully recommends Ms. Nancy van Leuwen, Walled Lake Consolidated School District teacher, Board of Education member, and WLCSD advocate, to be honored in the Spring of 2021. Ms. Nancy van Leuwen has a nearly 60-year history of serving the Walled Lake Schools children, staff and community as a teacher for 30 years and for her 26-years of retirement. Nancy’s continued her service has been in numerous capacities. These have included: service on the Lakes Area Youth Assistance board including many years at chairperson and vice chairperson; service on the Walled Lake Schools Federal Credit Union including the expansion of its membership to our students; consistent and continual support of the District PTSA Council and PTAs, and as an advocate on bond and sinking fund campaigns and with legislation that supports Walled Lake Schools and public education.  The Wall of Fame met recently, reviewed the completed nomination that included seven letters of recommendation and the Wall of Fame committee unanimously supports Ms. van Leuwen’s nomination and thank her for her leadership, advocacy and unwavering integrity on behalf of the children of our community. 
 
11. LAYA REPORT                                                                                         
Lakes Area Youth Assistance is a prevention program within the Oakland County Circuit Court. Youth Assistance has been in Walled Lake since 1960. Their mission statement is to strengthen youth and families and to prevent and reduce incidents of juvenile delinquency, neglect, and abuse through volunteer involvement.  A presentation will be made on their programs and services by Jodi Gallo, LAYA Chairperson and Jeff Brough, LAYA Caseworker.

12. LAYA VOLUNTEER BOARD
Lakes Area Youth Assistance, In keeping with their established by-laws, has requested official Board approval in accepting the attached updated list of individuals to represent their Board membership for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.

13. EXTENDED COVID-19 LEARNING PLAN
As outlined in Public Act 149 of 2020, districts are required to create an extended COVID-19 learning plan for the 2020-21 academic year. Michigan legislature passed House Bills 5911, 5912, 5913 (2020) signed by Governor Whitmer on August 20, 2020. Under the new law, in order to receive state aid for the 2020-2021 school year, the District must provide, for the 2020 2021 school year, instruction under an extended COVID-19 learning plan that is reauthorized monthly by the Board of Education. Administration recommends the Board reauthorize the Walled Lake Schools' Extended COVID-19 Learning Plan as presented.
14. RESOLUTION: BOARD REVIEW OF HEAD START PROGRAM
In accordance with the federal Head Start Performance Standards, the Walled Lake Consolidated School District Board of Education is the governing body of the District's Head Start program. To comply with all federal contract regulations, Walled Lake Schools' Head Start is requesting the Board review the items listed below and is requesting the Board's approval of the Personnel Policy for the 2020-21 School Year. All items were approved by the Head Start Policy Committee.

15. 2020-21 BUDGET AMENDMENT
Administration has evaluated the budget line items and adjustments have been made to more accurately reflect the 2020-2021 revenues and expenditures.
16. RESOLUTION: MHSAA COOPERATIVE TEAM APPLICATION
Walled Lake Central and Northern High Schools are requesting to form a Varsity Boys Lacrosse Cooperative Team program due to low participation numbers. Walled Lake Central and Northern High School Lacrosse booster clubs agree to fund, support, and maintain a cooperative team. Administration recommends the Board approve the MHSAA Cooperative Team Application.
17. SUPERVISOR OF REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION                                       
Public Act 226 of 1977 requires that a district sponsoring a program of reproductive health education appoint a supervisor of the program.  The supervisor coordinates the activities of the advisory board and helps evaluate the teaching/learning process for improvement of instruction.  Administration recommends the continued appointment of Mr. Dan Holland as Supervisor of Reproductive Health Education and Mrs. Catherine Russel as co-Reproductive Health Supervisor for the 2020-21 school year. 
18. REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE                
Public Act 226 of 1977 requires that a district advisory board for reproductive health education be established consisting of representatives from the following areas: parents, students, educators, clergy, and community health. The role of the advisory committee is to periodically review materials and methods of instruction and recommend changes, if appropriate. The following is the list of the members for the 2020-21 District Reproductive Health Education Advisory Board:

19. BOARD POLICY REGULATIONS UPDATE - 4000 AR
4000 AR Central Office Administrators and Building Administrators Board policy regulations have been updated to reflect administrative changes in the District. This is being provided as informational items prior to the Board Policy Manual website update and notification.
