I. CALL TO ORDER and PLEDGE
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
II.A. Recommendation: Discussion and approval of the agenda for the May 19, 2022 Governing Board meeting as presented.
III. CALL TO PUBLIC
III.A. Pursuant to Federal Public Law 103-382, Title 8 (Impact Aid), and the District's Indian Education Policy (IGAK), this call is for any member of our district. Those wishing to address the board are requested to complete an information card available from the executive secretary. The public is cautioned about making statements against employees of the District that may be considered slanderous. A further reminder, the minutes of this meeting are public record and may be used in other proceedings. This is the time that the public may speak to the Governing Board on any issue including agenda items. Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter, or to reschedule the matter for further consideration and a decision at a later date if it is not already on the agenda. Comments under Call to Public will be limited to four minutes.
IV. NEW BUSINESS
IV.A. Out Of State Travel To Washington, DC- Dr. Koerperich
Description:  Ten Holbrook High School students have qualified for a four-day trip, June 22-25, 2022 to Washington, DC through the Civics Matters Essay Contest provided through Govenor Ducey, the Arizona Cardinals and the Close Up organization.  Kelly Hill, Vyktorianna Bowler, Addyson Hayes, Cade Shumway, Trevor Taylor, Cariannalyn White, Loren Thomas, Emmalynn Hunseker, Josiah Naswood, and MacKenzie Chee have all qualified and been selected for the trip.  Sponsor Tobias Herndon will chaperone.  All expenses will be paid by Close Up and the Arizona Cardinals.  HUSD #3 is requesting approval for out of state travel; as well as, a district vehicle and one night lodging for students on Tuesday, June 21st.

Recommendation:  Discussion and consideration to approve out of state travel for students and Mr. Herndon to attend the Close Up Washington DC trip sponsored by Governor Ducey and the Arizona Cardinals as presented.
IV.B. HUSD #3 Business Manager- Dr. Koerperich
Description:  The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval to hire Erin Pugh as the business manager at HUSD #3 beginning June 6, 2022.  Ms. Pugh will cross-train with Mr. Hancock the month of June to ensure a smooth transition in the business manager position.

Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve Ms. Erin Pugh as business manager at HUSD #3 beginning June 6, 2022.
IV.C. Summer Technology Worker- Dr. Koerperich
Description:  The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval to hire Mr. Mike Burks for summer technology help at the rate of $25 per hour.  Mr. Burks has a deep knowledge of technology and will be able to accommodate the technology departments immediate needs over the summer.

Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve Mr. Mike Burks to assist with technology work over the summer at the rate of $25 per hour.
