V. CALL TO PUBLIC
|
|
V.A. Pursuant to Federal Public Law 103-382, Title 8 (Impact Aid), and the District's Indian Education Policy (IGAK), this call is for any member of our district. The public is cautioned about making statements against employees of the District that may be considered slanderous. A further reminder, the minutes of this meeting are public record and may be used in other proceedings. This is the time that the public may speak to the Governing Board on any issue including agenda items. Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter, or to reschedule the matter for further consideration and a decision at a later date if it is not already on the agenda. Comments under Call to Public will be limited to four minutes.

IX.C. Qualified Evaluators- Dr. Koerperich
Description:
Each year, the Governing Board designates district employees who are qualified evaluators to serve as evaluators for the District teacher performance evaluation system. HUSD #3 recommends the following qualified evaluators, who have attended qualified evaluator training, as evaluators for the district's performance evaluation systems for the 2026-2027 school year: Robbie Koerperich, Clete Hargrave, Connie Gover, Nichole Tow, Rasheed Hollins, Galen Knight, Bernice Gover, Andrea Tomlin, Sierra Browning & Jeff Meeks.

IX.L. School Facility Oversight Board Minimum Guideline Exception Request- Hulet Library- Dr. Koerperich
Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of a School Facility Oversight Board Minimum Adequacy Guideline (MAG) exception for R7-6-220 which pertains to a Learning and Technology Center for Hulet Elementary School once the Hulet to Park transition occurs. This will acknowledge that Hulet will not require a full library. Rather, classroom libraries will be utilized for preschool and Kindergarten classrooms at Hulet. The MAG exception will be submitted to the SFD for approval.
Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve the R7-6-220 minimum adequacy guideline exception for a Learning and Technology Center at Hulet Elementary once Hulet is a Preschool/Kindergarten Learning Center. |

IX.M. Holbrook School District Park Gym Funding Resolution Revision- Dr. Koerperich
Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of a revised Park Gym Funding Resolution as presented. The resolution outlines the funding sources for the gym to be located at Park Elementary School as part of the elementary school transition. The resolution outlines funding from the school facility board, unrestricted capital, and adjacent way including funding for site conditions from the School Facility Oversight Board (SFOB) will be contingent upon approval from the School Facility Oversight Board.
Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve the revised Holbrook School District Park Gym Funding Resolution to be submitted as part of the School Facility Board Park Gym project as presented. |

IX.N. GoFan Online Payment Platform Approval- Mrs. Maestas
Description:
HUSD #3 is requesting Governing Board approval to use the GoFan online payment system to be used for electronic payment for concession, student activity fees, tax credit donations, general donations and ticket sales; as well as, additional electronic payment applications as an online card payment system. The details of the study and rationale of the request are included in the back-up materials.
Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve GoFan as an online payment system to be used for electronic payments at HUSD #3. |

Description:
The Arizona School Board Association has updated governing board policy to reflect changes in this year's legislative session. The following policies are being considered for first reading: Policy BEDB Agenda, Policy CA Qualifications and Duties of the Superintendent, Policy DJ Purchasing Ethics, Policy DJE Bidding/Purchasing Procedures, Policy IHA Basic Instructional Program, Policy IHB-R Special Instructional Programs, Policy IKE-RB Promotion and Retention of Students, Policy IKF Graduation Requirements, Policy JF-R Student Admissions, Policy JFAA-R Admission of Resident Students, Policy JFAB-R Tuition/Admission of Nonresident Students, Policy JFABC-R Admission of Transfer Students, Policy JFABD-RB Admission of Homeless Students, and Policy JFABDA-RB Admission of Students in Foster Care. Each of these policies are ready for first reading as presented.

IX.P. HUSD Delegate Assembly Representative- Dr. Koerperich
Description:
On September 11, 2026, the Arizona School Board Association (ASBA) will host the annual ASBA Delegate Assembly to vote on legislative priorities for advocacy on behalf of public school districts for the 2027 legislative session. Each member district is allowed one vote for each action item. The Governing Board may choose a member(s) to represent HUSD #3 at the delegate assembly.
