II.A. 2018 MiDataHub Educators of the Year - Daryl Tilley 
Description:  Greater Michigan Region: Ingham ISD was recognized for their work in developing the MiStrategyBank application, which provides a repository for research and evidence-based instructional practices to be used by schools. Ingham ISD staff recognized were Bryan Smith, Jon Gaydos, Alex Phelps and Jim Kelly.

III.B. Heartwood Room Classroom Renovations - Helen McNamara 
Description:  The bid award for ongoing renovations of Heartwood classrooms.  The current year’s renovations include new flooring, casework, and painting of four classrooms and one commons area in the elementary wing.  The low, responsible bidder was Laux Construction.

: To approve and award the Heartwood School Classroom Renovations to Laux Construction in the amount of $84,700, for work to be completed no later than June 23, 2019. 
III.C. Summer Tax Resolution - Helen McNamara 
Description:  In order for a district or ISD to levy a summer property tax collection for the next fiscal year, a board resolution must be adopted by January 1.  The attached resolution provides for the 100% collection of Summer 2019 Taxes (fiscal year 2019-20), in parallel with our constituent local districts.          

Recommendation: To approve a 100% Summer Tax levy for the tax year 2019 (fiscal year 2019-20).    
III.D. Wilson Talent Center - Ferris State University Tuition - Helen McNamara
Description:  This item is for Ferris State University to provide direct college credits for Wilson Talent Center students for fall and spring semesters in the 2018-19 school year.  

Recommendation: To approve the purchase order with Ferris State University to provide direct college credits to students attending Wilson Talent Center programs from September 2018 - June 2019, at $133.00 per credit, and $265 per credit for Culinary dual enrollment.  

IV. Discussion Item 
IV.A. Ingham StarNet Wide Area Network - Helen McNamara 
Description:  Ingham ISD is the fiscal agency lead for the StarNet consortium and as such responsible for monitoring and managing the wide area network (WAN) which connects all of the public schools and ISD together.  Our current WAN agreement, a one-year extension on the original agreement, expires on July 1st, 2019.  An invitation to bid (ITB) was issued for a new agreement to provide leased WAN services to the consortium.  The results of this ITB will be compared to the option of extending our existing agreement for an additional one-year term.
