8.A.1. Athletic Coaches - September 2019
8.B. Out of State Travel Request(s):
8.B.1. North Valley HS Athletic Director Tim Sam requests approval to attend the first Cross Country meet of the season in Redding, California.  They will be going to the waterslides after the meet.
8.B.2. North Valley HS Athletic Director Tim Sam would like to attend the National Athletic Directors Conference in National Harbor, Maryland December 12-18, 2019.  All travel expenses will be paid by the Oregon Athletic Directors Association.  There is no expense to TRSD.
8.B.3. Fleming MS teacher Jerry Wilder requests permission for the Fleming eighth grade band to travel out of state for their annual trip to Six Flags in Vallejo, California June 6 -7, 2020.  The trip will take place on the weekend so there will be no school missed and no cost to the district.
8.B.4. Human Resources Director Casey Alderson requests permission to attend the National American Association of School Personnel Administrators conference in New Orleans, LA, October 8-11, 2019.  The conference was budgeted for and requested due to the content and focus of the speakers and session on labor management and bargaining.
8.B.5. Hidden Valley girls varsity basketball team is asking permission to play in a basketball tournament at Garden Grove High School in San Diego, California December 26-29, 2019.  There will be no cost to the district, cost will be fundraised and paid by the team.
8.B.6. Hidden Valley HS teachers Keith Haley and Chris Pendleton request approval for out of state travel to Birmingham, Alabama for the FBLA Fall Leadership Conference, November 7-10, 2019.  There is no cost to the district as it is funded and approved by Perkins and there is no sub expense costs.
8.B.7. Hidden Valley HS Athletic Director Brian Miller would like to attend the National Athletic Directors Conference in National Harbor, Maryland December 12-18, 2019.  This will be paid for out of the Hidden Valley athletics general fund.
8.B.8. The TRSD Maintenance Department requests approval for HVAC techs Gene Pavlich and Don Manion to attend Daikin training courses offered by Thermal Supply Inc in Fife, Washington, November 5-6, 2019.  They have applied for Classified Professional Development funds to pay for the training.
8.B.9. Student Services Director Stephanie Allen-Hart would like to attend the Pacific Northwest Regional Law Conference in Seattle, Washington September 22-25, 2019.  The cost of this conference will be paid for by Title IIA Professional Development dollars.
8.C. Grant Request(s)
8.C.1. North Valley HS teacher Karreen Ghena is requesting approval to apply for a Classroom Learning Mini-Grant from Northwest Community Credit Union for funds in the amount of $1,100 to purchase classroom sets of two books for Advanced Placement Composition.
8.C.2. Food Services is applying for a grant through Department of Environmental Quality.  The first grant of $60,000 is for purchasing and installing walk-in freezers for Lincoln Savage and Fleming Middle Schools.  The second grant of $8000 is for purchasing waring food processors for all 13 schools.
8.C.3. North Valley HS requests permission to apply for a Big Question Debate grant through the National Speech and Debate Association.  The grant funds up to $20 per debater, with a base fund of $450 and topping out at around $8,000.
