8.B. Grant Request(s):
8.B.1. Fleming teacher Dave Shindleman seeks approval to apply for a classroom grant of $1470 to purchase science equipment from the Northwest Community Credit Union PROJECT COMMUNITY.
8.C. Out of State Travel Requests:
8.C.1. Director Casey Alderson requests approval to attend the National Career and Technical Education Vision Conference.  The annual conference is held in Nashville, Tennessee December 5-9, 2017.  The conference is paid for though Perkins and SOESD. The estimated cost to the district is <$175.
8.C.2. Hidden Valley HS Athletic Director Brian Miller is asking permission for the boy's varsity basketball team to attend a basketball tournament at Mt. Shasta High School.  The tournament is in Mt. Shasta, California December 7-9, 2017. There will be no cost to the district except for two days of substitute teacher cost for Mr. Keller.
8.C.3. Hidden Valley HS band teacher Joe Green is requesting permission for some high school band members to attend the Western International Band Clinic (WIBC). The clinic is held in Seattle, Washington and take place November 17-20, 2017.  Joe Green and eight of his students have been selected by the WIBC audition screening committee to participate.  Students must pay $345 to participate and will be paying for the trip themselves.  Mr. Green's expenses will either be covered through professional development funds or the HVHS music fund.
8.C.4. Evergreen Principal David Regal requests approval to travel to Vancouver, Washington and participate in a PBIS training with a Tier 2 focus on 10/3-10/4/17.  The workshop and travel will be paid for utilizing Title I funds.
