9.C.1. The Fleming 8th grade band (J. Wilder) requests approval for out-of-state travel for their annual trip to Oasis Family Fun Center in Redding California on Saturday, May 18, 2013.   There is no cost to the district or schools.
9.C.2. Ft. Vannoy teacher Jim Kriz requests approval to travel with six students to Knoxville, Tennessee to participate in the Destination Imagination Global Finals Competition from May 21-26, 2013.  They are also requesting the $300 per student financial support from the district allotted for students who have equalified for national competition as per board policy DBL. The remainder of the costs will be covered by fundraising.  Substitute costs for Mr. Kriz will be covered by district TAG funds. 
9.C.3. Manzanita Principal Jessica Durrant requests approval for out-of-state travel for third grade teacher Heather Wolter to attend a workshop in Tacoma, Washington.  The workshop is June 28-29, 2013 and is focused on The Daily 5 and CAFE.  The cost of attending the workshop, transportation, lodging and meals will be covered by Title I Professional Development funds from Manzanita Elementary.
