12.A. Consider and take possible action to appoint a representative to serve on the Anderson County Appraisal District Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 term.
Description:

The Anderson County Appraisal District has notified the district that the current representative’s term will expire on December 31, 2025.

In accordance with Section 6.03 of the Texas Property Tax Code, the board must adopt a resolution appointing a representative for the 2026-2027 term and submit the resolution to the Chief Appraiser.

12.B. Consider and take possible action to approve the Tyler Regional Day School Program for the Deaf Shared Service Agreement for 2025–2028.
Description:
Tyler ISD, as fiscal agent, operates the Tyler RDSPD Shared Service Arrangement (SSA) for participating districts under TEC §29.007 and Texas Government Code §791.001. The agreement outlines governance, fiscal responsibilities, and services provided to eligible students for the 2025-2026 through 2027-2028 school years.

13. Board to Consider Approval of Consent Agenda

13.A. Fundraisers
Description:
  • Westwood High School Theatre requests approval to participate in the annual Hot Pepper Festival on October 25, 2025, in Downtown Palestine. Students will sell brownies, cookies, soda, and coffee, with prices ranging from $2 to $4. All proceeds will benefit theatre program expenses and future productions.
  • Westwood High School Drill Team requests approval to conduct a World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser from October 13-24, 2025. Students will sell chocolate bars for $1 each, with proceeds used to cover competition and supply fees.
  • Westwood High School Class of 2028 Parent Group requests approval to sell BBQ plates (including sandwich, chips, and drink) during two fundraising events — one in November and one in spring 2026. Plates will be sold for $12 each, with proceeds benefiting prom and graduation expenses.
  • Westwood High School Theatre Group requests approval to sell Boo Bags with snacks/candy from Oct 30-Oct 31, 2025. Candy/snack bags will be sold for $5 each, with proceeds benefiting EOY trip expenses.
  • The Westwood High School Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter will host a "Rock Paper Scissors" competition on October 31, 2025, to raise funds for organization supplies and meal expenses. Students will purchase necklaces for $1.00 each, which will serve as their entry to play. The event will take place on the high school campus, and all proceeds will support BPA activities. 
  • The Westwood Middle School Theatre Department will sell small "Halloween Boo Bags" filled with pre-packaged Halloween goodies. Each bag will be priced between $2-$4 and sold on campus on October 30th and 31st. All proceeds will support the theatre’s end-of-year show expenses, including props, costumes, and production materials.
