IV.1) Celebration of Ms. Lupita Fuentes for her dedicated service to the Eagle Pass Independent School District as School Board Member for 21 years.
IV.2) Recognition of the Nellie Mae Glass Elementary Division 2 girls' basketball team for winning the City of Eagle Pass Basketball Championship.
IV.3) Recognition of the Nellie Mae Glass Elementary Falcon Cheer Team who won the Division Championship for the MCDA Nationals and earned a bid to the Super Nationals in Reno Tahoe, Nevada.
IV.4) Recognition of the 2023-2024 Graves Elementary Junior Varsity Cheer Squad for placing 1st in the Elementary School Mini Level 1 at the Cheer and Dance Championship at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio.
IV.5) Recognition of the 2023-2024 Graves Elementary Varsity Cheer Squad for placing 1st in the Elementary School Intermediate Level at the Cheer and Dance Championships at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio.

IV.9) Recognition of Eagle Pass High School Senior Paola Sarabia for being selected to the UTSA Top Scholar Program class of 2028 and receiving a full-ride scholarship for her outstanding academic performance throughout her four years of high school.
IV.10) Recognition of Eagle Pass High School Senior Claudia Hernandez for being accepted at John Hopkins University and receiving a scholarship package of about $80,000 per year through the Quest Bridge National College Match Program.
IV.11) Recognition of Eagle Pass High School Student Council for being recognized by the Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) as a Sweepstakes Council and recognition by the District 15's Alamo Association of Student Councils as an Honor Council.
IV.12) Recognition of Miss Alejandra Martinez, Memorial Junior High School science teacher for her collaboration with TEA to develop the new science standards for the 6th-8th grade that will be implemented in the 2024-2025 school year.

VI.1) Consider and take appropriate action on the request to adopt Resolution 2023/24-08 to nominate a Candidate to fill the vacancy of Board of Director of the Maverick County Appraisal District (MCAD).
VI.2) Consider and take appropriate action on the request to award Sealed Proposal No. 242804 for High School cafeteria furniture and finishes for EPHS and CC Winn and the Board delegates the Superintendent or Designee the authority to make related budgeted purchases of goods or services as per Board Policy CH and to amend the budget accordingly to include other matters related thereto.
VI.3) Consider and take appropriate action on the request to award Sealed Proposal No. 242904 for food distribution area remodel for EPHS and CC Winn and the Board delegates the Superintendent or Designee the authority to make related budgeted purchases of goods or services as per Board Policy CH and to amend the budget accordingly to include other matters related thereto.
VI.4) Consideration and approval of Resolution 2023/24-09 regarding early release day and compensation of employees regarding same.
VII. CONSENT ITEMS
VII.1) Consider and take appropriate action on the request to approve the minutes of the February 13, 2024 (Regular) and the March 19, 2024 (Regular) Board Meetings.
VII.2) Consider and take appropriate action on the request to approve a Joint Election Agreement between the District, Maverick County, and the Hospital District for Joint Elections to take place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.  A Joint Election is required by Section 11.0581 of the Education Code for the District to hold its annual Election of Trustees in the District.
VII.3) Consider and take appropriate action to hold the District's Annual Election of Trustees on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 for Positions 1, 2, 6 and 7 in accordance with State Law and Board Policy BBB (Local).
VII.4) Consider and take appropriate action on the request to approve, in accordance with Board Policy CH, the Interlocal Agreement to participate in the Education Service Center Region 20, Texas 20 Purchasing Cooperative and the Board delegates the Superintendent or Designee the authority to make related budgeted purchases of goods or services as per Board Policy CH. 
VII.5) Consider and take appropriate action on the request to amend the General Fund Budget.
VII.6) Consider and take appropriate action on ther request to revise Board Policy DEC (Local) as per TASB.
VII.7) Consider and take appropriate action on the request to approve the summer work schedule for the District Service Center Staff and the Campus Administrative Staff for the month of May, June, July and August.
VII.8) Consider and take appropriate action on the request to approve a donation from Maxey Energy Company of $500 through the Educational Alliance Program for the use specifically for Math and Science.

VIII.3) The Board will consult with its legal counsel regarding Cause Number 2:21-CV-00048-AM-CW, Liliana Jimenez vs. Eagle Pass ISD, in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, Del Rio Division, and a possible resolution of the case.  TGC 551.071

IV. CITIZENS' COMMUNICATION / RECOGNITIONS
Description:
According to EPISD Board Policy BED (Local) Board Meeting: Public Participation, only those persons (on the list) who request to speak shall be heard. The speaker shall limit remarks to three minutes, unless, this limit is waived by the board. The Board shall allot no more than 20 minutes for the Citizens’ Communication portion of the meeting. Complaints and concerns for which other resolution channels are provided shall be directed through those channels. These complaints include complaints on the following subjects: employee complaints, termination of employment, student complaints, removal to alternative education program, and expulsion. If the Board President determines that a person has not attempted to resolve a matter administratively, the person shall be directed to the appropriate policy for attempted resolution before bringing the matter to the Board. Complaints against specific employees or officers of EPISD shall be heard in Closed Meeting, as authorized by the Texas Government Code Title 5-Section: 551.074 (1) and (2). If your topic concerns complaints against specific employees or officers, please note this on the sign-up sheet. You must make your points on issues in a constructive and courteous fashion pursuant to Robert’s Rules of Order.
