On June 16th, we received a notice of recalculation of minimum instructor pay for our JROTC instructors.  This reflects a total increase of $6,478.10, of which the district will be responsible for 50% plus retirement benefits.

Approval is requested to update Policy IDE. This update clarifies the retesting of students that do not initially qualify for the gifted program. 

Approval is requested to adopt Policy GABE as a required item. This policy covers the required comparability requirements contained in Title 1 Assurances. 

Approval is requested to adopt Policy EGA as a required policy. This policy affirms that our school district offers insurance opportunities in accordance with Mississippi Department of Education State Board Policy, ensuring compliance with state requirements.

Approval is requested to edit Policy GGBC to correct the existing performance-based incentive structure. This revision also requests a performance-based incentive to adopt as board policy. Presenting a new comprehensive job description for school principals to adopt as policy. This proposed policy consolidates the roles of high school, middle school, and elementary positions into a unified policy, while clearly differentiating the unique district responsibilities of each level. 

Presenting Policy GFAD from the year 2018 for an update. This update reflects the current qualifications, reporting structure, and the duties and responsibilities associated with this position.

Presenting Policy IJBC to adopt as a required policy for our district.  This policy authorizes the sale of district-issued technology to students enrolled in Grade 12 that have graduated. The policy outlines the criteria and guidelines for this process. 

Presenting Policy IHA as a required policy to adopt for our district. This policy includes our established grading system for students in Kindergarten - 12th grades. 

Presenting Policy IJBD as a required policy to adopt for our district. This policy outlines the expectations and responsibilities associated with the privilege of using district-issued technology.

The Federal Programs Coordinator will replace the registration of the Director of Federal Programs and Student Services due to time conflicts. This is mandatory professional development for our Title I monitoring.

This is valuable Federal programs professional development that ensures that we are aware of new federal mandates, regulations and potential changes in legislation.
