II.A. Recommendation for approval of disposal resolutions
Description:
The Business Office recommends approval of a disposal resolution at the BOE meeting for damaged and/or worthless classroom furniture.  As the custodial staff continues to mark items for disposal AND dispose of items, the resolution will be finalized on Thursday, September 7th for placement on the agenda.

II.B. Discussion of facility rental rates under new facility use procedures
Description:
Pursuant to the new procedures for facility use, the District has created rates for all user types.  The Business Office is presenting those rates to the committee for informational purposes.

II.C. Recommendation to approve facility rental contracts for approval
Description:
The Business Office recommends approval of 4 new facility contracts under Tier II of the facility use procedures.  Tier II users can enter into long term contracts -- typically an agreement that lasts at least one school year.

The following contracts are recommended for approval:

Jan III Sobieski School (3 years)
Wanda Rutkiewicz Academy (3 years)
Jim Lathan -- private music teacher (1 year)
Sue Gavert -- private music teacher (1 year)

The following contract is also recommended for consideration and, upon the renter confirming agreement on terms,, approval:

II.D. Discussion of proposal for Part-Time Weekend Custodian
Description:
Based upon work that could be performed, the Business Office, with the Buildings and Grounds Department, recommends consideration of a part-time weekend custodian.

II.E. Discussion of lead testing on required District water sources
Description:
By law, the District must perform testing for lead on certain water sources in the buildings.  The District is ready to perform its legally obligated lead testing.  The Business Office is recommending that the testing occur.  The District has 2 options for testing.  Option 1 is to hire an outside consultant that will secure the samples and have the water tested by an outside lab.  Option 2 is for the District to secure the samples in-house and have the water tested by an outside lab.  The costs and issues will be discussed at the meeting and a final recommendation developed.

II.F. Recommendation to approve preventative maintenance contracts
Description:
The Business office is recommending 3 preventative maintenance contracts for approval.  The contracts, already contained as part of the budget, are for the following items with the following companies:

First Point Mechanical -- PM on roof top equipment for $7,300 ($7,500 budgeted)
Garaventa Lift -- PM on the lift equipment at IKE for $660 ($700 budgeted)
Holland Roofing  -- PM on actual roofs, not equipment, for $ 4,300 ($11,200 budgeted)

III. BOE Building Tours 
Description:
The Business Office with the Buildings and Grounds Department will lead the BOE members in attendance on tours of the district buildings to review summer work performed.  Building tours will commence immediately after the conclusion of business reviewed in the Discussion Items portion of the meeting (approximately 7:45 am - 8:00 am start time for tours)
