9.A. Routine Personnel Items - September 2017
9.A.1. Coaches Report - September 2017
9.B. Grant Request(s):
9.B.1. Director Casey Alderson requests to allow for possible submission for a CTE-R Grant through the Oregon Department of Education. The amount could range up to $350,000 depending on the submission.
9.B.2. Fleming teacher Stephanie Schrock is applying for a $1500 Northwest Community Credit Union grant specifically for equipment to be used for an intramural program during the school day.
9.C. Out of State Travel Requests:
9.C.1. Hidden Valley High School Future Business Leaders of America is requesting continued board support of their National competition by granting permission to travel to Baltimore, Maryland for the FBLA National Leadership Conference and approval of $300 per student to help offset travel costs.  Students, chaperones and Adviser (Patrick Irvin) and chaperone (Chris Pendleton) will be attending at the end of June to the beginning of July 2018.
9.C.2. Hidden Valley HS teachers Chris Pendleton and Patrick Irvin are seeking approval to attend the FBLA National Fall Leadership Conference in New Orleans, LA.  The trip will be November 15-20, 2017.  All funds will come from the Southern Oregon ESD (via Carl Perkins funds). There is no cost to the district.
9.C.3. Hidden Valley HS teacher Chris Pendleton is seeking approval to attend the MBA Conclave Curriculum & Teaching Summit in Vancouver, Washington October 5-9, 2017.  There is limited cost for the event (only registration).  Chris Pendleton will also be presenting at this event.
9.C.4. Hidden Valley HS teacher Chris Pendleton is asking the board to approve a travel request to attend the MBA Leadership Forum in Columbus, Ohio from January 25-29, 2018.  The travel is being funded from the Hidden Valley HS business budget.
9.C.5. Director Casey Alderson requests approval to attend the Attendance Institute, along with representatives from each high school.  The institute is in San Francisco, California on September 29, 2017.  
9.C.6. Board report requesting out of state travel for Directors Jessica Durrant and Casey Alderson to travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to attend training from Sara Daniel, Director of Clinical Services and Staff Development at SaintA.  Travel dates will be January 21-25, 2018 and all costs associated with attending this training will be paid for by grant dollars to support ACEs instruction.  
9.C.7. Fleming teacher Jerry Wilder requests out of state travel permission for the Fleming eighth grade band, for their annual trip to Six Flags in Vallejo, California  June 9-10, 2018.  The cost of the trip is paid for by the students.
