Description:
It is a requirement that we have a formal investment policy.  Although we have always been in compliance with the State Money Management Act, we do not have a formal investment policy.  It is recommended the Board approve the adoption of Policy 3130 - Investment Policy on a first reading.

Description:
The districts' current purchasing limits are much more stringent than the limits set by the state procurement department.  Our independent auditor has suggested we update and adjust our limits to align with state purchasing limits.  It is recommended the Board approve Revised Policy 3300 - Purchasing and Revised Policy 3310 - Bids and Quotations on a first reading.

3.E. Approval of Revised Policy 4199 - Special Education Policy Statement -2nd Reading

Description:
The purpose of the revision is to come into compliance with new policies set by USBE in August 2020.  LEA's are required to update their district policy and procedure manual based on changes in Utah Special Education Rules.  A template was provided and updates were approved by USBE Special Education Services.  There has been no additional input concerning the proposed additions.  It is recommended the Board approve Revised Policy 4199 - Special Education Policy Statement on a second reading.

Description:
The updated policy includes changes in the law regarding student attendance and eliminating outdated language allowing schools to refer truancies to law enforcement or juvenile court, while encouraging interventions and support for students habitually absent.  It is recommended the Board approve Revised Policy 4170 - Attendance Policy on a first reading.
