Discussion:
Monthly review of Year to Date Revenue and Expenditures will resume next month, following approval of the FY23 Budget.

II.B. Update on FY2022 Audit - Baker Tilly to Join Committee Meeting in November
Description:
Baker Tilly performed their fieldwork to complete the FY22 audit during the weeks of 7/25/22 - 8/5/22.  The Business Office team met with Baker Tilly six times to assist with audit completion. Baker Tilly will join us in November to discuss their final audit with the committee.

II.C. FY23 Budget Update 
Description:
Amy will discuss the process for approving the final budget and any issues which are different from previous BOE meeting presentation of the FY23 tentative budget. Anticipated revenues and expenditures will be presented and discussed.

II.D. Short Term Financial Challenges - Discussion of Expediting Working Cash Bond Issuance
Description:
Amy will provide an update on the potential implications of the delay in Cook County property tax revenue as well as a proposed solution.  Elizabeth Hennessy will be joining us to discuss the acceleration of the 2022 Working Cash Bond issuance.

II.E. Grant Updates - School Maintenance Project Grant ($50,000) and the Supply Chain Assistance Fund Grant ($31,225)
Description:
Amy has applied for two grants: 
  • The School Maintenance Project Grant will provide $50,000 for the Phase 2 MacArthur Middle School HVAC work and will be awarded by January 1st. 
  • The Supply Chain Assistance Grant will reimburse the District up to $32,000 for costs associated with perishable goods for student consumption during the course of the 2022-23 school year.  These funds have been awarded but not yet received by the District.

II.F. Discussion of Site Based Report
Description:
On an annual basis, all districts are required to report all expenditures on a per-student basis, broken down by building. The attached report reflects a small increase over the prior year.  This information has been provided to ISBE and incorporated into the Illinois School Report Card as a measure of equity.
