3.A. Discuss and Consider Action to Approve The Gonzales ISD District of Innovation Plan Amendment

Description:
Gonzales ISD administration is seeking approval of an amendment to the GISD District of Innovation plan. This amendment removes the stipulation that uncertified individuals hired for a teaching position receive state-based pay. Administration is proposing two options to the locally developed compensation procedure: Option 1 is a $5,000 increase to state-based pay and Option 2 is a $7,000 increase to state-based pay.

3.B. Discuss and Consider Action to Approve an Order Authorizing the Defeasance and Redemption of a Portion of the District's Outstanding Unlimited Tax School Building Bonds, Series 2015A, Approving an Escrow Agreement and Providing for Other Matters and Procedures Related Thereto

Description:
Administration recommends authorizing a defeasance(i.e. pay down a portion of debt ahead of the original schedule) for tax rate management and stability and interest cost savings.

Discuss and Consider Action to Approve an Order Authorizing the Issuance, Sale and Delivery of Gonzales Independent School District Unlimited Tax Refunding Bonds, Series 2023; Authorizing a Pricing Officer to Approve the Amount, the Interest Rates, Price, Redemption Provisions and Terms Thereof; and Containing Matters Related Thereto

Description:
The district has an opportunity to refund a portion of its 2014 bonds at a lower interest rate to save on interest costs over the life of the bond. The refunded bonds will be named the Unlimited Tax Refunding Bonds, Series 2023.
