The Davis-Bacon Act requires adoption of minimum wage rates for contracts subject to the Act.

13.G. Upgrade Worsham Auditorium Microphones and Yearly Maintenance

Description:
The wireless microphones haven't been upgraded/replaced since the auditorium renovation. The system is not functioning properly and needs replacement to be compliant with current FCC regulations. While the contractor is here, he will re-tune and check the entire system as yearly maintenance.
This upgrade and maintenance should not exceed $30,000 and be completed during the summer of 2023. |
13.H. Alternative Certification Reimbursement Extension

At the December 2022 regular board meeting, the Alternative Certification Reimbursement plan was presented to the board. After receiving positive feedback, administration is requesting that the reimbursement plan be extended to the 2023-2024 School Year.

Recent events in Roscoe ISD have raised concerns and questions about current and potential safety and security measures Snyder ISD has in place and/or plans to implement.
Current and in-progress safety and security measures will be presented. Safety and Security measures for future consideration will be discussed, including Scurry County Emergency Management Coordinator (see attachment), Snyder ISD Director of Safety and Security position, metal detectors, armed security on every campus, etc. |
