9.E. HVAC Maintenance Projects
Presenter:
Chris Jalomo
Description:
As I have settled into my position, I have noticed a top priority in regard to our HVAC system at the Junior High:
Replace three units at the JH - I know that this is the newest building, but those three units are units that we have had trouble with getting contractors out here to work on them. Getting these three units replaced streamlines service, equipment, and thermostat usage, plus we constantly have to get them looked at. I can contact vendors to see about replacements. This does a couple of things: 1. By replacing the three units, this eliminates big-scale work on the junior high, and we can focus on working toward a bigger plan for the intermediate and primary. It will take some maintenance, but will not be a major focus. 2. Streamlines our supplies and allows us to have multiple contractors out to provide service. There is budget money available for this purchase. We will get the quotes necessary to procure AC units. There is also work to be done on valves and air handlers at the Intermediate campus, as part of the chiller and boiler system. We need to replace valves and work on the air handlers in order to help make the system run more efficiently within classrooms and reduce maintenance/repairs. We will also seek quotes for this project. |
