8. Action Agenda
8.A. Consider and take action to address the Place 2 vacancy on the Snyder ISD board of Trustees.
Description:  No one signed up to run for the Place 2 Seat. I would recommend the board wait until after the May 2021 election to appoint someone to serve in that position. This will allow more time to make sure the board appoints the best person for that position. Anyone appointed after the May election would be required to run again in the next regularly scheuduled board meeting (May 2022) to complete the final two years of the term. If that is the decision of the board it will not require a motion, there would be no action taken on the agenda item.
8.B. Resolution Regarding Employee Pay During Weather Emergency
Description:  This will allow us to pay our employees that were not able to work virtually Feb 11,12,15 and 16. It will also allow us to pay our employees for Feb 17 and 18 when we were completely closed.  Additionally it will allow us to pay our employees (primarily maintenance and custodial) extra-duty pay for their work during the days of Feb 11-20.
8.C. Resolution Authorizing Emergency Purchases due to Weather Disaster
Description:  Less the deductible our insurance will cover most of the needed services and repairs due to the recent freezing weather. However, the insurance comes as a reimbursement to the district, so we will have to issue district payments for these services and repairs. At this point we do not have an accurate estimate for the damage repairs. We beleive the amounts in the proposed resolution will be adequate to cover our repair costs resulting from the weather damage.
