Superintendent Palmer will review the Extended COVID-19 Learning Plan. The presentation will include an update on student attendance. The Board of Education must re-confirm the method by which instruction will be delivered, and further re-certify the Plan every 30 days, and must include an opportunity for public comment.
 
IV. PUBLIC COMMENTS

The Board recognizes the value of public comment on educational issues and the importance of allowing members of the public to express their views.

Please limit your statements to three (3) minutes duration.

Participants shall direct all comments to the Board and not to staff or other participants; no person may address or question Board members individually.

The Board cannot accept public comment regarding personnel issues. All personnel issues are referred to the Superintendent for resolution.

Remarks shall be made in a respectful and professional manner.

V.A. Policy 8450.05  - Emergency Temporary Telecommuting Policy
NEOLA has released a special update in response to the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (MIOSHA) release of Emergency Rules regarding Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID 19), filed with the Secretary of State on October 14, 2020. The rule requires that all Michigan employers shall create a policy prohibiting in-person work for employees to the extent that their work activities can feasibly be completed remotely.  Because this emergency rule went into effect on November 18, 2020, approval of this policy appears as an action item at tonight's meeting.
