Depository Contracts are good for 2 years. They can be extended for 3 two-year terms. Boyd ISD has extended their 3 two-year terms and were required by state law to go out for bid. We sent the bid requirements to 4 banks, First Financial Bank, First State Bank Decatur, Pinnacle Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank. Only one responded, First Financial Bank, which is our current, hometown bank.
Two main points to note: --decreasing interest rate from .15 to .10 (which is more than we currently make with TexPool. --we will be getting free checks and deposit slips that have not been previously provided.
