8.C. Out of State Travel Request(s)
8.C.1. Director Rob Saunders requests approval for out of state travel to the Edupoint Users Conference in Orlando, Florida on November 2-3, 2023.  Attendees would include: 3 users from the IT Department, 3 from Special Education, 2 administrators and 3 office staff users.  This conference will be budgeted for out of the IT Department, Special Education budget and Curriculum.
8.C.2. North Valley HS Principal Erik Lathen requests board approval for out of state travel to Annapolis, Maryland to visit and participate in the Naval Academy Influencer's workshop April 17-20, 2023.  There is no cost to the district as all expenses are paid by the military.
8.C.3. Hidden Valley HS Principal Damian Crowson requests approval for the Hidden Valley HS Leadership Team/PBIS Team to take the class with the highest points to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California on May 19, 2023.  
8.C.4. Lorna Byrne MS Principal Danny Pratt requests approval to take the 5th grade class to Ocean World in Crescent City, California on Thursday, May 25th.
8.C.5. Superintendent Dave Valenzuela requests approval for out of state travel for Stephanie Allen-Hart and Dave Valenzuela to Anaheim, California July 12-14, 2023.  The conference covers Bullying and Cyberbully prevention, Dropout Prevention, Drug Trends, Gang Prevention, Grants & Available Resources, Mental Health, Online Safety, PBIS-LCAP Impact On Safe Schools, Safe School Data Gathering and Threat Assessment.  There is a consortium of people going from District 7 and Josephine County Juvenile Justice in an effort to create a county-wide system of school safety.

Description:
School Board meetings are meetings of the School Board held in public, not meetings with the public.  As a general rule, the Board will not engage in discussion with the public during this portion of the meeting.  Please rest assured that all comments are carefully considered and will help guide future Board action.  If you wish to speak, please complete the 'School Board Comment Card' if in-person or complete the Public Comment Request online at:  https://www.3riverssd.org to provide public comment virtually.  There will be 20 minutes allotted for public input.  When your name is called you will be allowed your 2-3 minutes to speak.  Keep your remarks brief and respect the time limit.  Complaints about staff members cannot be discussed in open session and must be handled through a complaint procedure.
