All comments during our public board meetings will follow these policies. Description:

Miracle Fingerson, Taft 7-12

PACE Program- Helping SPED students know how to work in the community and with peers.

Raleigh Bartholomew, Taft 7-12

Raleigh is a fantastic middle school physical education and music teacher at Taft. One of his students recently made the Oregon Music Educators Association conference for the MS Treble Choir--this is the first time this has happened at Taft in over two years. On top of this, he also is a director of the plays and musicals at Taft as well as supports/coaches for basketball and volleyball. Go Raleigh, Go!

Nikki Day, Oceanlake Elementary

This one is a couple months past due, but we wanted to give her a shout-out when we were here at Oceanlake tonight. She planned and got donations for a DIY pumpkin patch for our students. She got over 200 pumpkins donated and delivered to our school where they set up a makeshift pumpkin patch in our field area of our playground. Our students were able to go out and pick a pumpkin and then choose 5 different rooms to decorate them and there were also games to play outside when they were done. We had volunteers from the community come which is great for our families. Since COVID many of our students are missing out on things like going to a pumpkin patch and Nikki Day made it possible for our students. One of our volunteers commented that so many students were saying "this is the best day ever!" (See picture attached)
