2.A. For the purpose of considering matters for which closed sessions are authorized by Chapter 551.071 - 551.084, Texas Government Code, whereupon the Superintendent at the request of the Board President, will present for the Board's consideration or discussion the following matters:

2.A.4. Consultation with the District's attorney to receive legal advice regarding the procedure for a reduction in force and possible termination or proposed nonrenewal of employment contracts.  This item may be held in closed session in accordance with Tex. Gov't Code §§ 551.071 & 551.129 if consult is by telephone.
3. Reconvene in Open Session
3.A. Consideration and Possible Approval of Items Discussed in Closed Session.
4. Consider the termination of probationary employment contracts at the end of the contract period in the best interest of the District.  This item may be held in closed session pursuant to Tex. Gov't Code § 551.074.
5. Consider the need for a reduction in force arising from a program change which may result in the nonrenewal of one or more term contract employees.
6. Consider the employment areas to be affected by a reduction in force arising from a program change.
7. Consider the Superintendent's recommendation on the proposed nonrenewal of one or more term employment contract employees, including campus principals, as part of the reduction in force arising from a program change in accordance with policies DFF and DFBB.  This item may be held in closed session in accordance with Tex. Gov't Code § 551.074.
8. Consider the renewal of probationary contract employees.  This item may be held in closed session in accordance with Tex. Gov't Code § 551.074.
9. Consider the renewal of term contract employees and the other professional certified full-time term contract employees.  This item may be held in closed session in accordance with Tex. Gov't Code § 551.074.
10. Consider authorizing the Superintendent and/or legal counsel to negotiate employment options, including possible voluntary separation agreements, with employees affected by a Reduction in Force.  This item may be held in closed session in accordance with Tex. Gov't Code § 551.074.
11. Consider the Superintendent's Plan for the 2011-2012 Budget Reduction
