III.A. Greenhouse Lease with Tozitna- There was a lease approved and signed on September 30, 2017 between Tozitna and TCSD for the lot behind the school where the Greenhouse was built.  The original lease was not recorded and was misplaced. Tozitna created a new lease with the same terms and requested that we sign it so it can be recorded.
III.B. Board Training in October- Per the board's decision in August- Attached are two MOAs for the board training in October 2019.  October 26 is the region-wide school board training. October 27 would be for TCSD school board only.
Recommend: Accepting both MOAs for board training.
IV. New Business

IV.A. Sublease of Greenhouse to City-In order for the city to receive grant money for the building/finishing of the Greenhouse project, they must show they have site control.  This means that TCSD needs to sublease Lot 11 to the city.  The Greenhouse has been a joint venture between the school and city. The school will continue to have access to the greenhouse and be able to use it as part of the curriculum.
IV.B. Hiring Special Education Aide- Job Posting have been out since August 8, 2019 at the Post Office, Store, online, and at the school.  It is recommended that we hire Corinna Moore to fill the position as substitute special Education Aide at this time.  The job posting will remain up until September 9, 2019. Pay for the substitute position is $12.00 per hour.
Recommend: Approving Corinna Moore as substitute SPED Aide at $12.00 per hour, up to 30 hours per week.
IV.C. School Improvement Consultants- Lenore Turner and Carol Moncrief are highly qualified and experienced literacy consultants.  As part of the School Improvement Grant, Mrs. Ashton wrote them in to provide intensive face to face training with our teachers and provide ongoing coaching/mentoring to help teachers improve literacy instruction.  The charge for staff training is $1250 per day for each consultant plus expenses.  Each ongoing coaching session is charged at $250 for preparation and presentation.
Recommend: Engaging both Carol Moncrief and Lenore Turner as consultants/mentors under the school improvement grant.
IV.D. Change in Duties- Grayson Brower has been assisting with maintenance/custodial tasks.  Mrs. Ashton added to Randall's job duties to include coordinating travel for the district. Also, in order to allow Bernadette to cook 5 days per week, Anjoli is assisting with kitchen clean up. Therefore, some of their duties can be transferred to Grayson. Grayson will also open the Parent Resource Center for 6-8 hours per week based on feedback from parents for best times.
RECOMMEND: Move Grayson Brower from Special Education Aide to Maintenance assistant for 22-24 hours per week and 6-8 hours as migrant paraprofessional in the Parent Resource Center.
IV.E. Elementary Classes Native Language Class- YKSD has offered to continue to serve our elementary students with native language course taught by Susan Paskvan.  The cost is $40 per student for a workbook and $100 per semester/per student for a yearly total of estimated at $4320 (based on 18 students).
