Description:
We are gathered on the land of the Dakota and Ojibwe peoples. I ask you to join me in acknowledging the Dakota and Ojibwe community, their elders both past and present, as well as future generations. St. Louis Park Public Schools also acknowledges that it was founded upon exclusions and erasures of many Indigenous Peoples, including those on whose land this school district is located. This acknowledgement demonstrates a commitment to dismantling the ongoing legacies of colonial power and the district's desire to support the ongoing work of local Indigenous communities to thrive in our schools.

This data story highlights how the work of the Gifted and Talented Design Team, along with the first Youth Data Analyst internship cohort, has led to more students enrolling in advanced level classes in St. Louis Park Public Schools since 2019-2020.

Director Sukhu provides an overview of the feedback received during the budget listening session. In her presentation, she shares some themes from the initial data. She also shares information about future plans to get more feedback.

3.F. Brief Discussion of Stadium Project/Bid Opening in December

Description:
Stadium project will include:
  • New Stadium Bleaches that will meet existing ADA code and access requirements.
  • New team rooms that will be constructed under the new bleachers and be storm shelter compliant.
  • 3 new bathrooms constructed under the bleachers, Mens, Womens and Gender inclusive.
  • New storage area under bleaches for athletic and grounds equipment.
  • New field turf.  existing turf has reached its life expectancy and needs to be replaced.
  • Add/Alternate for new stadium lighting, with new more efficient LED lighting.
Timing for this project is:  Starting in April 2025 and be complete for the 1st home football game in late August of 2025.

Description:
Director Sukhu provides an overview of the strategic planning timeline. In her presentation, she shares more about Pink Consulting and outlines the stages of planning, from initial data gathering and community engagement to goal setting and implementation. The overall process will begin in October and be completed in May.
