3.A. The Arbor View Student Spotlight features the Family Book Club. This monthly-before-school book club allows students to delve into stories. A monthly flier is sent out advertising the book of the month.  Then students may check the book out in the LMC or purchase the book and read the book at home as a family. Students Stella Furlong and Alba Weemer along with the book club sponsors Mrs. Yearly and Mr. Ludolph will highlight the Family Book Club!  
3.B. Nine Glen Crest students were selected to participate in the prestigious Illinois American Choral Directors Association Junior Honors Chorus. The selected students are: seventh graders Meegan Frega, Macey Hilliard, Tessa Howard, and Sofia Schlicher; as well as eighth graders Anika Hitaj, Kate Boquiron, Megan Lowman Elizondo, Romina Hidalgo Rivera, and Sienna Walsh. To audition, students had to learn excerpts from three songs, and the recordings were judged by professional musicians. The Glen Crest students joined middle school students from across the state at the chorus festival at Bradley University on September 27. Sam Koppitz is the Glen Crest choir teacher.
3.C. November 15, 2025, is designated as School Board Member Day in Illinois. The children of District 89 benefit daily from the commitment to public education of our outstanding school board members: Dr. Lyndsay Cowles, Sean Glennon, Yannick Koger, Jessica McGee, Steve Neurauter, Ariel Steffens and Dr. Laura Wilmarth Tyna and our student board members: Olivia Loftsgaarden and Skylar Usalls. Thank you for the countless hours of dedicated service and outstanding collaborative spirit in leading our district so enthusiastically and effectively. 
3.D. American Education Week is November 17-21, which is the perfect opportunity to thank Community Consolidated School District 89 educators to celebrate their work. Each day, the staff members of all five CCSD 89 schools are focused on ensuring that every student reaches their full potential as a learner and classmate. This community's children benefit from having excellent teachers who care deeply about each student's success.

The Board will enter into closed session to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the District or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity as allowed by Section 2 5ILCS 120/2(c)(1), to discuss collective negotiating matters between the District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees as allowed by Section 2 5ILCS 120/2(c)(2), to discuss student disciplinary cases as allowed by Section 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(9) and for the purpose of litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the District has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting as allowed by Section 2 5ILCS 120/2(c)(11).
