The district will recognize PES principal Kathleen Tomei, who was awarded the West Cook County Elementary School Principal of the Year by the Illinois Principal's Association.  This award puts Kathleen in the running for the Illinois Principal of the Year.

The district received six Freedom of Information Requests (FOIA) this month.
  1. Owen Wang from the South Cook News submitted a FOIA seeking information on our students' immigration status.  
  2. Karyn Lisowski requested information about Middle School enrollment for four school years, from 2021 through current. 
  3. Karyn Lisowski requested information about District enrollment for four school years from 2021 through current. 
  4. Karyn Lisowski requested information about Pre-K and Kindergarten enrollment for four school years, from 2021 through current. 
  5. Owen Wang from the South Cook News submitted a FOIA seeking emails and memos. 
  6. Rhonda Norris from provenIT requested electronic copies of the district's copier, MFP and printer leases and sales/ maintenance agreements.
