Phase 2 HVAC work is underway at Mac.  Amy & Mike will provide an update on the schedule for the retrofit work and also share a brief update on the engagement process and plan for 2024 Windows, Siding and Door replacements.

Amy and Mike will review the proposals for the installation of a cantilever gate at the Northeast corner of the Ross playground for $6,995.00 and the replacement of the existing north fence at Eisenhower with additional fence to be installed to the north of the playground for the amount of $21,600.00. Mike has been in contact with Dan Peterson, City of Prospect Heights, to complete the permit process for the Eisenhower fence. 

Amy and Mike to discuss the replacement of the existing divider wall with a divider curtain for the amount of $35,597.00. Electrical work is also to be done for the amount of $725.00 to provide power to the new curtain. Arlington Heights Park District will be providing 50% of the funds for the wall per the IGA with the park district.

Amy and Mike will share an update on the plan to adjust traffic flow at Eisenhower School for the coming year.

Amy and Mike will discuss the replacement of the compromised sanitary line below the hallway floor and classroom 136. ARCON Assoc.is currently drawing up the recommended plan of action provided by Cage Engineering. DeFranco Plumbing has provided a preliminary proposal for the work to be done for the amount of $79,000.00.  Mike has been in communication with Forensic Analytical Consulting Services to review the area of work for possible asbestos-containing material within the project area. A proposal for floor tile replacement is being obtained as well. 

Following conversations with the ROE, we will be requesting a waiver of the bid requirement and plan for emergency funding and status.

Amy and Mike will provide an update on the security camera project including the product and placement options, vendor status, and the potential for grant funding.

Amy will discuss the renewed contract terms. 

Amy has been working with the Prospect Heights Park District to renew the cooperative IGA between the two parties. The contract will be presented to the Board for approval at the June BOE meeting.

As MacArthur continues to update several of its larger student spaces, we have obtained several proposals for painting services.  Following evaluation, will be working with Marc Poulos, a local painter, to repaint several rooms. The proposals have been attached for the Committee's review.
