II.B. Summer 2022 Staffing Plan
Description:
At this point, we anticipate hiring 7-10 summer workers for the coming summer to assist with classroom cleaning, light landscaping and painting projects.  Anticipated hourly rate of pay is $12.00.  As has been the case in past years, funds have been budgeted in the Operations & Maintenance salary accounts.

II.C. Discussion of Upcoming Projects - Spring and Summer 2022 Work
Description:
While we have discussed the Summer 2022 Capital Projects in previous Committee & Board meetings, there are several other priorities that the Operations Department has been working on that we would like to share some additional details.

II.D. City of Prospect Heights - Arlington Countryside Storm Sewer Easement Request
Description:
Attached is a map that clarifies the areas that will be "open cut" and areas that will be drilled/augered.  As previously shared with the Committee, the bulk of the work does involve directional drilling with minimal impact.
However, the work at Camp McDonald and Schoenbeck requires auger and jack drilling (required by IDOT) hence the need for the full auger pits in our lot and across the street.
Auger drilling will be used for the casing and carrier pipes that will go under Camp McDonald Road.  As the piping moves east towards the creek, it will be a trench install with some additional paving disruption as we move towards the creek.

The proposed timeframe is 3-4 weeks, Summer 2022.  The City will fully restore all disrupter areas of turf & pavement.

II.E. Grodsky Basement Improvements - Discussion
Description:
As discussed at our last Committee Meeting, there have been instances of recurrent seepage in the lower level.  The current space is poorly organized and struggles to meet the increasing needs of the staff housed in the Administration Building.  Preliminary conversations have been held with Arcon to determine initial budgetary costs and options for improvements.
