Description:  An article about the Evergreen Research and Retail Greenhouse written by SHS student Madison Lieb was published in the TACS Today September 2021 issue. Barry Haenisch, TACS Executive Director, will be at our board meeting to recognize Madison and the Evergreen Research and Retail Greenhouse.

Description:  The E&I Purchasing Cooperative will add a vendor for the procurement of goods and services, specifically for the maintenance and operations department.

Before any closed meeting is convened, the presiding officer will publicly identify the section or sections of the Act authorizing the closed meeting. 12.A. Election- Scurry County Appraisal District- Board of Directors 2022-2023
Description:  At the previous meeting the board officially nominated Jerry Boyd, now the board can cast all of their votes for Jerry Boyd. 
12.B. Consider and take action to approve bid of roofing contactor CS Advantage USAA Inc. to replace hail damaged roofs at Snyder High School campus and the Snyder ISD Transportation & Maintenance Bldg.
Presenter:  Clay Cade
Description:  Six bids were received on 10/29/2021.  The grading/evaluation team met on 11/1/2021 to score the bids.  After bid scoring and reference verification, the grading/evaluation team is recommending CS Advantage USAA Inc for the project.  The bid sheet and score sheet are attached for your review.

The deductible for this project is $1,320,498.15, which we anticipate will be spread over two fiscal years due to the size of the project.
12.C. Acknowledgement of Snyder ISD Conflict of Interest Policy BBFA (Legal) and (Local)   
Description:  At a previous board meeting it was determined that all board members have no conflict of interest with this project.
12.D. Consider and take action to approve Amendment 1 to the Agreement for Limitation on Appraised Value of Property for School District Maintenance and Operations Taxes Between Snyder ISD and IP Lumina II, LLC.
Description:  As discussed during our meeting on September 28, 2021 this is the necessary amendment to the previously approved application extending the period of the value limitation from 8 years to 10 years.

13.A. Update on SISD Texas Tax Code 313 - Value Limitation Agreements
Description:  Representatives from Sara Leon and Associates, PLLC will be in attendance to update the board on the district's 313 agreements.

13.C. SISD Wellness Plan (FFA Regulation)
Presenter:  Kathy Scott
Description:  Review changes to the SISD Wellness Plan (FFA Regulation) as recommended by the School Health Advisory Council.
13.D. Academic Stipend Schedule Update/Review
Presenter:  Clay Cade
Description:  The Academic Stipend Schedule will be presented for discussion and review as an information item.  When originally presented, the Visual Impairment Certification (VI) stipend was inadvertently left off of the Stipend Schedule.  This certificate requires two exams and a mastery of Braille, as well as a significant amount of continuing education.  
13.E. Tiger Stadium Track / Turf Replacement Update
Description:  The turf at Tiger Stadium is nearing the end of its useful life, and will soon need replacement.  During recent hail storms, the track at Tiger Stadium was damaged and is pending insurance settlement for replacement.

If the District is able to replace both items at the same time, there is the potential for much more efficiency.

Projected expense(s) will be presented at the meeting for discussion.

Description:  Boards are required to get updated on legislative actions following each legislative session. We will discuss training options.
