7)H) Murdock Re-Roof Bid

Description:  On Thursday, April 7, 2022, formal quotes will be opened for the replacement of the south wind roofing at Murdock Elementary School. This project came about due to the harsh February weather that caused a lot of leakage in the school. The Board previously authorized this project as an emergency per the Indiana Code and formal quotes with a recommendation will be completed for the April 11 Board Meeting. Once the quotes are opened and evaluated by the architect, a recommendation will be added to this item on the agenda for awarding. 
7)I) JHS North Drive Bid 
Presenter:  Eric Rody
Description:  Bids were opened for the north drive renovation of JHS on April 4, 2022. Administration is recommending awarding of the contract to CDI Inc., as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder per I.C. 36-1-12. Enclosed is a brief summary of the bid opening and a tabulation accordingly. 
7)J) Property Casualty/Work Comp. Ins. Renewal 
Presenter:  Eric Rody
Description:  The month of April is the annual renewal of our property/casualty insurance with the Mitchell Agency. Included in the packet is a copy of the proposal and a premium for all lines of insurance including, package policy, automobile, umbrella liability, and workers' compensation. The majority of this increase comes from the worker's comp policy as a result of an increased increase in pay and increases in the number of claims and cost of claims. The other largest piece comes in the package policy where our industry is taking an upward push and the values of our buildings and property increase with the rising cost of materials,m supplies, and wages in a replacement cost scenario. Please also note that we do employ an independent appraisal company to value our property, both real and personal. It is not the insurance company that values our property. The GLASS liability policy increase is mainly due to actual claims and loss ratios that typically occur in the special needs area and the cost will be borne by all three districts. These items were discussed in a previous work session and administration has begun the process of monitoring work comp claims/accidents in a more proactive manner. Administration requests acceptance of the package of policies as presented.

Description: 

The Administration recommends the acceptance of the following gifts for the month of March: 
Glen Acres Elementary received a grant in the amount of $5,000 from the Department of Child Services Community Partners for Child Safety prevention fund through Bauer Family Resources. Award letter attached. 

Jefferson HS Extra Curricular accounts received monetary donations totaling $3,700. A complete list of all donations is included with a summary listed below.
