Description:  Federal Grants and Awards Administration Policy 
A new policy is being recommended for approval after a first reading at the November 8, 2021 Board meeting entitled Federal Grants and Awards Administration. The policy is included herein as recommended and previously discussed.  There has been no feedback for changes to this point and thus the administration recommends approval of the new policy.

Description:  The Business and Transportation Offices will be working through the bidding process for 2022 fuel purchases including regular unleaded and diesel fuels. The timeline to be followed will be bid legal ads on December 9 and 16; bid openings on January 4; board award on January 10, 2022. 
7)I) 2022 JHS Kitchen/Cafeteria Upgrade- Information Only

Description:  2022 JHS Kitchen/Cafeteria Upgrade - Info Only
This item is informational action needed at this time.   The Board may recall that with our new five year proposal from Chartwells that past Summer there was included a proposal to upgrade the kitchen/cafeteria area of the JHS cafeteria substantially.  Attached with this information item is a budget estimate of both kitchen equipment (serving lines) and furniture/décor for the cafeteria.   All of these items can be paid through the food service fund, but there will need to be some accompanying infrastructure work to accommodate the new kitchen equipment in terms of plumbing, electrical, architectural, etc.   That trade work will funded through the VTSBC construction fund at JHS and Keystone Architecture is working to that end.  

An RFP process will be completed for the kitchen/cafeteria portion of the project, and a conventional public work bid completed for the trade work side.   The intent is to complete the project in Summer 2022 and we believe we are in advance enough at this point to meet supply chain issues as well.   However, should there be a problem with supply chain, the project can be moved to Summer 2023.

9) Acceptance of Gifts

The Administration recommends the acceptance of the following gifts for the month of  November: 
Oakland Academy received a monetary donation of $1,000.00 from the Tippecanoe County Arts Federation for help with the Round the Fountain Art Fair. The funds are to promote opportunities for Oakland Academy students to experience Art in the classroom and the community. 

It's My Closet- received an anonymous donation in the amount of $2,000.00

Jefferson HS Extra Curricular accounts received monetary donations totaling $31,300.00 in the month of November. A complete list of all donations is attached with a summary listed below: 
$7,325.00 in Music Scholarships
$1,050.00 for the Band Department 
$474.00 for the Athletic Department 
$2,050.00 for It's My Closet
$100.00 for the Heart Program
