2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The School Board Vice-Chair will lead the school board and attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance.

3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Board action to approve the agenda for the meeting is expected.

4. COMMENTS AND REQUESTS FROM VISITORS
The agenda is open to visitors of the meeting to offer comments to and/or requests of the school board. The comments and requests should follow the adopted district guidelines which are printed and available at the meeting.  As a general rule, items introduced in the opportunity for comments and requests do not receive action from the School Board, but are taken under advisement or consideration for future action.

5. CONSENT ITEMS
Action is requested on the following items of the consent agenda. Consent agenda items are typically adopted without discussion of the individual items because they are routine or ordinary in action.  Any consent agenda item may be removed for further discussion and deliberation by any member of the board.

5.A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes from the Regular board meeting held on July 19, 2021.
Recommend approval of the minutes from the meeting.

5.B. RETIREMENTS-RESIGNATIONS
Recommend approval of the following resignations and/or retirements.
5.B.1. Resignation-ROCORI Secondary-Paraprofessional: Lynette Lahr-Rose effective immediately
5.B.2. Resignation-Buildings and Grounds-District Education Facility-Cleaner: Adam Klaphake effective August 16, 2021
5.B.3. Resignation-ROCORI Secondary-Special Education teacher: Amanada Ruegemer effective immediately
5.C. EMPLOYMENT
Recommend approval of the assignment as outlined.
5.C.1. ROCORI Middle School: Math teacher: Megan Steil

5.D. MEDICAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE REQUEST
Recommendation: Approve the absence as presented.
5.D.1. Buildings and Grounds Department-Custodian: Bob Mertes from July 28th, 2021 through approximately early October, 2021.
5.E. BOARD PROPOSAL REQUEST: Activities Department
Director Baumgarten has requested the addition of 2 middle school coaches for soccer girls and boys program.
Recommend: Approve the positions as presented.

5.F. MILK BIDS
The district has asked for and received bids for supplying the milk for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years. Only one bid was received and that came from Kemps in the amount of $113,661.
Recommendation: Accept the bid from Kemps for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school year.

5.I. APPROVAL OF SETTLEMENT BY INSURER IN SPECIAL EDUCATION MATTER. 
6. DISCUSSION ITEMS
Discussion items receive individual attention because of the nature of the issues and the need for introductory or other discussion in order to review the information prior to taking action.  This is also the agenda location for items which simply need school board review, but no formal action on the item is required.  Discussion items will typically return to the agenda at a future point for more specific action.
6.A. EQUITY INCLUSIVE ACTION UPDATE
6.B. EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK 
The district has put together an Employee handbook as a guideline for employees as to the district expectations.  This is your first reading on the handbook and will come back to the August 23rd meeting for approval.
