8. Closed Session pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 13D.05, subdivision 3(b), to engage in confidential discussions with the School Board’s legal counsel related to the threat of litigation related to pending litigation in the case of Pollyann Sorcan v. Rock Ridge School District, et. al., Court File No. 24-1333. The School Board seeks specific legal advice on the threat of litigation and its potential relationship to the pending litigation, potential and existing claims against the District, the District’s Attorney’s analysis of the same, and the District’s options for responding to and potentially resolving such claims. The discussion of pending litigation, paired with the threat of adjacent litigation, dictates the absolute need for confidentiality.
